Arthur McLintock, son of Reverand John William McLintock, was born August 18, 1871 in the District of Bow, Poplar, Middlesex, England. Arthur grew up traveling with his father, a sailor's missionary, visiting Africa, Australia, as well as tropical islands. As a teenager, Arthur traveled West, however, eventually returned to Michigan where he lived with his brother James McLintock. It was in Flint, Michigan that he met his future wife, Mary Laing. Arthur led an illustrious life, and was a detective with the Grand Trunk Railroad, and was Real Estate Developer in Pontiac, Michigan prior to the Depression.
