I am researching the surnames of MCMILLINS who lived in Porter twp, Jefferson Co. PA and came to Clinton Co. Iowa in about 1860. Married Elizabeth HOOVER in PA. Also George HILL came from England in 1848 with parents and brothers and sisters to Clinton Co., IA Married Sarah Jane MCLEAN who came from Augusta Twp, ONT.
Also Jobe Earl DAVIS who married Wealthy Agusta ATKINS in Ontario and came to Clinton Co, IA. in the 1860's.
Also John ROUSE who married Rachel ROBINSON and lived near Shade Gap, PA. In 1850 census. Son Alexander married Eveline JAMISON.
George UMBRELL who married Barbara ? came from Baden, Ger. in 1821. His son, Mathew, married Elizabeth WHITSEL. They lived in Metal Twp, Franklin Co. PA. WHITSELS came from Weinheim, Ger. and settled in Huntingdon Co. PA.
Also Gert ZIELSTRA and wife Jennie MULDER came from Netherlands in 1887 to Pella, IA. and later to Ruthven, IA.
