I'm researching Gough/Goff family roots back to Thomas and William Gough. The family migrated to Monongolia, Randolph, and Taylor Counties, WV. My grandfather, William Thomas Gough, left WV to go to Marshalltown, IA, and then on to Ponca City, OK in the early 20th Century. Other names: Hull,Laraway, Warthen, DeMoss, Snider, Burns, Lunsford
Also researching family of William Logue McMurray, born 1821 somewhere in Tennessee. His parents and place of birth in TN unknown. He came to Rusk Co., TX before the Civil War and is buried there. He married Elizabeth A. Brown in Rusk Co. Their children: Taylor Brown McMurray, William L. McMurray, Thomas J. McMurray, and Jessie McMurray all born in Rusk Co., TX. Thomas J. moved to Wise Co., TX in 1880's.
