Johnson Robert Hamer was the son of Thomas L.and Hannah Fitzpatrick Hamer. He died at an early age of consumption. His father sold his own interest in the mill soon after and moved to a farm and quarry north of the mill. This is a painting done from a tintype by Patrick Davenport in 1856.
