Henry T. Hamer, the oldest son of Hugh Hamer. This painting has been mistakenly called a painting of the young Hugh Hamer. It was painted by Patrick Davenport in 1856. Henry Thomas married Mary E. Lemon. After the death of her mother and several of their children they went to Ottawa, Kansas. After Mary E.'s death Henry Thomas returned to Lawrence County where he died.
