Myra Mottram was the granddaughter of Thomas Hamer, Jr (1766-1829), the daughter of Lettie Hamer Bosley (1804-1893). She came from Ohio with her widowed mother to Kansas, where she died in 1924. She was a niece of Hugh Hamer (1799-1872).
