Tombstone of William R. Hamer, who was the son of Hugh Hamer Jr and Ann Maria Dalton Hamer McNamara. His grandfather was Thomas L. Hamer. His father died soon after his birth and his mother remarried a James McNamara. His brother was George Augustus Hamer and his sister was Almira Hamer Lucas. He worked on the railroad and was shot and killed in Vincennes, Indiana.
