The bodies of Thomas Hamer, and to the right, Henry Fitzpatrick, and Elizabeth Johnson Fitzpatrick were transferred from the Jolly Cemetery near Bono, where they had been buried, in March of 1937. James Frank Hamer, a Bedford Undertaker, and Frank V.Hamer, his nephew made the transfer. Thomas Hamer was father to William Hamer, Nancy Hamer Crofoot, Hugh Hamer, Thomas L. Hamer, Lettie Hamer Bosley, James Hamer, and Joseph Hamer. The Fitzpatricks were the parents of Elizabeth Fitzpatrick Hamer, Hannah Fitzpatrick Hamer, and Johnson Fitzpatrick, who helped at the mill and later moved to Orange County where he died and is buried in Green Hill Cemetery.
