William Francis Hamer was a grandson of both Hugh Hamer and Dr. Jacob Lemon. He was married to Laura Antinette Munson Hamer, a cousin. His parents were Henry Thomas and Mary E. Lemon Hamer. He practiced medicine in several places in Indiana, then he moved to Ottawa, Kansas, where he died. His wife and family returned to Indiana after his death. Most of his children are buried in the Hamer Cemetery. His youngest son, Von, is buried in Jefferson Barracks Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
