* 'McMichaels of Amite, Louisiana" Plesant Philip 'Branch'*

Updated June 29, 2001

The Research on Decendants of William Cephas McMichael & Elizabeth Baxter Jennings, First McMichaels in the Florida Parishes, was done by Leah Beth Houeye Simpson & Pauline Connolly Wayne & Published in 1988 in a Book Titled "MCMICHAEL". This lienage is only on the decenants of Plesant Philip McMichael, one of the many children of George Philip McMichael I. Plesant Philip's Mother was Francis Bankston, second wife if George Philip McMichael I. I have added information on many McMichael Spouses and Children in this lienage. The last McMichael reunion was held on March 12th, 1990 on the Houeye Estate west of Amite, La. which was the area where William Cephas McMichael settled in 1813 when he arrived from Orangeberg District, South Carolina.
