Notes for Joseph Frazey: Note;Joseph Frazey ( Frazee, Frazy, Phrazey ) with his wife Mary, who is thought to have been a Pearsall ( spelling varies ) were in Mansfield Township, Burlington County, New Jersey, 31 October 1783, They deeded to Nicholas Lundeck two plots of ground, located in Little Egg Harbor Township. Subsequently they removed to Brush Creek Valley, Bedford ( now Fulton ) County PA. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Joseph froze to death, or died of illness, during a absence from home. His estate was administered by Rev. Thomas Runyan, pioneer preacher, who married his widow. In November 1808 Runyan reported the value of the estate f 113 11s 71/2 d., and on 12 March 1821, Final settlement was made. Joseph's grave site is unknown. But his wife rests beside her second husband, Runyan, in Sideling Hill Baptist Cemetery, Bedford Co. PA . The manager attesting that she died March 1858, in her 97th year. Nothing is definitely known of Joseph's nationality. A Bedford History says he was of Scottish descent and came from Long Island, NY, in the early days. Apparently he never took title to the land in Bedford Co. p.149 August Term 1808 Came into court Thomas Runyan Administrator of the Estate of Joseph Frazey deceased and Produced his account of Administration as settled by the Register of this county which it appears that there is a Balance in His hands of One Hundred and Thirteen Pounds, Eleven Shillings and Seven Pence half Penny to be distributed according to law.
p.314 March 12th 1821, Settlement between Thomas Runyan Administrator of Joseph Frazey late of Belfast Township, deceased and the heirs of Joseph Frazey are filed by which it appears that John Frazey, Samuel Frazey, Jacob Tanner & Charity his wife, Daniel McClain and Mary his wife, Elisha Barton and Anna his wife and Joseph Frazey heirs and legal representatives of said Joseph Frazey deceased have respectively received their share of said estate. At an Orphan Court held at Bedford, in and for the County of Bedford before the Honorable Charles Hurton, Esquire Associate Judges of said Court on the second day of April Anno Domino one thousand Eight hundred and twenty one.
