Notes for James Adcock: Few records have been found of James Adcock who resided in old Anson County, NC. On the 17th of December 1769, a land grant on Solomon Creek is recorded . The court of Anson County, recorded a deedon 13 January 1772 from James Adcock and wife to Philemon Thomas. The record is a license granted to James Adcock to operate a Ferry over the Pee Dee river at Moorman's old ferry. Final entry is dated March 4, 1775 when he and John Crawford and Henry Adcock recieved a land grant on the Pee Dee river.
