Notes for Richard Bax(s)ter Allender: Notes: He was a Minister perhaps a Presbyterian
In The Hawkeye Heritage July 1967, article "Trails End" for some of the 1840 Pioneers. Listed Richard E. Allender d. ( April 1898 age 82 at Bloomfield, Iowa: Thomas Allender D. 26 August 1870 age 86 years buried in Upper Ridgewood Cemetery. Richard was married to Elmira Frazey and I might guess that Thomas was his father. Thomas Allender and John Hoaglin laid out the city of Salina, IA in April 1852. The Presbyterian Church was built there in July 1856. Since Richard was a minister perhaps he was Presbyterian and we might find some information through church records. MJS 9/9/1984
