Direct Lineage Descendants of William McNabb

Generation No. 1

1. WILLIAM1 MCNABB1 was born 1702 in Glendochart, Parthshire Scotland, and died 1789 in Wautauga County, North Carolina. He married (1) BETTY AIKEN Abt. 1720. He married (2) MARTHA JOHNSON BENNETT 1750 in Augusta Co. Va..

Notes for WILLIAM MCNABB:
Augusta County, Virginia records indicate William McNabb arrived there between 1735-1740 settling in the Shenandoah Valley before migrating into the Wautauga Settlement of Tennessee (now the area of Boone, North Carolina, Wautauga County.) Several of supportive facts may properly be introduced here. The birth dates of his children indicate this entry date. Research of Talmadge Ford McNabb of Tennessee indicates that William's first wife, Betty Aiken died in Scotland and that he did not marry his second wife, Martha Bennett until 1750. Records of a diagram in the book "Tinkling Springs: Headwater of Freedom" published many years ago by the Tinkling Springs Presbyterian Church reveal William settled on 300 acres of land patented in 1749 in the South Fork Community near Fisherville, Virginia.
