The McOmber Family Home Page

McOmber, sometimes spelled Macomber or Macumber. I am looking for information on the family of LaFayette McOmber. I have no information as to whether he had any siblings or not. I also do not know his parents names. I do know that his father operated a toll bridge on the Black River in Watertown, New York in the early 1800's. LaFayette married a Frances Bosworth and they had 7 children. I have the names of 5 of the 7 and they are: Cyrus Marvin, Clara, Emma, Irene, and Charles. Cyrus was my great-grandfather. Cyrus was born on 23 April, 1863 so I can only assume that LaFayette was born approximately late 1820's to the early 1840's.
