McPherson/Charlton of Northumberland Newcastle England

I am researching the McPherson and Charlton families, both of the Newcastle England region. I have gone back to John Charlton born 1880 who married Mary Marshall (no other info) but was daughter to Christopher Kit Marshall. They had a son called John William Charlton, who married Mary Ann Bell.

On the other side I am back to John McPherson born in Wallsend Newcastle who married Margaret English (no other info on either person). Both families come from Newcastle in England.

I know that Christopher Marshall had a pub called the Byker Arms ?
