I've added a lot more photos to our family tree. Check it out, and if you have any more photos to contribute, contact me at bmnsl@aol.com, and we'll work out the details. Of course,I'll be happy to return the photos after I scan them.

Also, my next project is a family newspaper with amusing or interesting tales about the people in our family. I've got quite a few tidbits, but if you know of any interesting stories to add about how so-and-so met so-and-so, major life events/disasters, present or previous occupations, travel experiences, immigration hardships/adjustments, and/or any other tales handed down over the generations, please-mail me.

Finally, please let me know if you know of any additions that can be made to this tree, or if you spot any errors. I've tried to be very careful and did a lot of double-checking of everything I've included, but, hey, I'm human!

My Family History

Family Photos

  • 1911 Voyage (575 KB)
There have always been travelers among us. In 1911-1912, Louis Montrose Coon took a four-month voyage around the world with his wife, Ella, his son, William, and his niece, Helen.
  • Two Generations Later in Egypt (364 KB)
75 years after the 1911 world trip of Louis Montrose Coon and his family, his great grandchildren visited one of his stops (the pyramids in Cairo, Egypt) after Barbara McQueen, a great granddaughter (on the second horse from the left) married an Egyptian, Wahid Hamdy (on the first horse on the left).
  • Repeating Professions (509 KB)
Certain professions have been pursued over and over again by our ancestors. For example, we have had many doctors, lawyers, teachers, and musicians. Pictured here are three generations in a row of doctors: William Wallace Coon, his son, Louis Montrose Coon, and his grandson, William Louis Coon.
  • All Over the Map (57 KB)
We and our ancestors have lived in many states and many countries. We are literally all over the map. The places indicated on this map are the major places where we've lived and raised our families.
