Through research i discovered that my forebears who lived on the island of Ulva were put off the island to make way for sheep.
They eventually ended up on the Isle of Mull at a time when there was starvation among these deposed people.

On Ulva ,to this day there is the remains of a row of houses which were called "Starvation Row"

It takes a bit of research to find out just what hardship people of that time endured.
