Greg was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and many of his ancestors arrived in America during it's infancy, most from Great Britain and Germany. I was born in London, England and came to America at age four, so most of my research on my side is in Great Britain and Holland.

  Greg's 3rd. GGrandfather, WILLIAM McSWAIN, son of THOMAS McSWAIN and ELIZABETH (VINES?) was born in 1802 in Madison Co. KY. and died in 1881 in Estill Co. KY. WILLIAM was a farmer and ran a lumber mill. He was married to ELIZABETH HISLE, daughter of BENJAMIN HISLE and MARY ANN SHOUSE.

  Greg's Grandfather, HARVEY McSWAIN, son of JAMES McSWAIN and SARAH CARDWELL, was born in Patriot (Switzerland Co.) Indiana and died in Cincinnati (Hamilton Co.) Ohio. Harvey started The McSwain Floor Co. in 1912, a business still operated today by his Grandsons. Harvey married IDA MAE LUNSFORD, daughter of RICHARD LUNSFORD.

  Greg's paternal Grandmother, IDA MAE LUNSFORD, daughter of RICHARD LUNSFORD, (shown here with youngest son JACOB (JACK) McSWAIN) was born in Warsaw, Kentucky and died in Cincinnati Ohio. IDA married HARVEY McSWAIN, son of JAMES McSWAIN & SARAH CARDWELL.
