My Grandmother Mabel (Belongia) McTavish died at 98 years old, in December of 2000.To my sister Sandra O'Connor and I, it seemed like the end of an era, and it became our quest to "find our roots"!This is very much our work in process! We've discovered our ancestors were in Canada very much longer than the United States, and that our backround on my fathers side is very French. Our mothers side immigrated to the States in the late 1800's from Poland. We have decided that we are very much a part of the huge melting pot, that this country is. We would love to have our distant cousins check in with us!And of course, if you notice any inacurate information, please let me know!
