James Lawrence McVeigh, Sr. (c1819-1901)

This is the home page for the James Lawrence McVeigh, Sr. Family. James lived on the Isle of Man and came to Savannah, GA, USA as a young man. He lived mainly in Liberty and Wayne Counties, GA, was a flutist in the Confederate Army, a school teacher and a surveyor. He married three times: (1) Mary Brewer, (2)Elizabeth Pinholster, and (3) Serena O'Neal. He was born about 1819, possibly in Ireland, died in 1901, and is buried in Jesup, GA.
