I was positively delighted to see your McWilliams info posted at ancestry.com.I think this is the only time I've seen my gggrandmother, Mary C. McWilliams, posted by someone other than me on the Internet.She was married to Joseph Oates and died at abt. age 28 from TB, leaving one small son.I have info on her, if you would like it.Also, she had a full sister, Nancy A., married to Michael Paul Borron in 1871 in Macon Co., MO.My info on her and her descendants is growing.We're 99% sure there is a full brother, John H.He has been a toughie, but we're working on it.
The rootsweb.com page for Macon Co., MO has a project underway to put 200 pages of probate indexes online.When that is completed, I hope we can find info on John McWilliams (father of Ingo and Mary C.).John was living in Macon Co. in the 1870 census and died Oct. 1870.
