I am researching the John P. Johnson (Halgren) Family.He came to the USA from Sweden. He was born in Morkvik, Smoland, Sweden September 22, 1855.He met his wife in Conn. She was working at a boarding house and she was throwing a featherbead mattress down the stairs, struck him, knocking him down.Her name was Wilmeninia Peterson.She had also come to USA from Sweden at an earlier time and got a job at the boarding house.
