The Meadowcrofts aquired this property around 1540 , and it was later sold after Richard Meadowcroft's death in 1675. Possibly partly demolished in the 1890's and a replacement wing added later. It is noted as a grade ii listed building on the Bury website http://www.bury.gov.uk/Bury/councilservices/environment/planning/developmentcontrol/listed+buildings+a+-+z.pdf .
