  52 iv.   Carl Frederick Opelt, born July 17, 1899 in Lynne, Clark, WI; died November 24, 1989 in Levis, Clark, WI. He married Permilla P. "Millie" Mack.

  Notes for Carl Frederick Opelt:
From Carl's Obituary "Carl received his education in the town of Lynn. At the age of 16, he moved with his parents to the town of Levis, where he worked on his parents farm and did other jobs in the area.

On Nov 9, 1921, Opelt wed Permilla P. "Millie" Mack in Sheridan, WI. After the marriage, the couple continued to farm in the town of Levis from 1922 until 1965. During this time, Opelt also worked in the sand and gravel business for many years.

Carl Opelt was a lover of music and for many years played in a band that performed at area dances. He was a past director of the Production Credit Association, and served on the Clark County Committee of the ASCS for many years. He was a member of the United Church of Christ in Neillsville.
