I am working on my father's side of the family tree right now - he was born in Norway, and all ancestors on his side of the family were from the southern tip of Norway. Oscar Emil Meberg came to this country in 1911 from the town of Meberg, Norway. He attended seminary and went to India as a missionary under The Evangelical Alliance Mission in 1919. He retired in 1959 after forty years in India. He was superintendant of The Norwegian Christian Old Peoples Home in Brooklyn, N.Y. for 3 years before retireing to Orlando. Fl. |
