John Hartman was born in Adams County, Pennsylavania on June 12, 1804. He was the son of John Hartman and Ann Bishop. John Hartman married Lousianna Alter on February 7, 1828. The couple had eleven children: Willam Alter, Ann Elisabeth, Jeremiah, Solomon, Emeline, Charlotte, John, Mary Jane, Jacob, Marion and Lucy Ann. John Hartman Sr. died on May 26, 1890 in Randolph County, Indiana. His wife Louisianna died on April 22, 1879 in Randolph County, Indiana. |
