William MEEKS was born ca 1720 - 1725 in Hanover County, Virginia, died August 1797 in Greenville County, South Carolina. Known children all born in the area of Allen's Creek, Hanover County, Virginia.
1. Priddy MEEKS, born between 1747-1751, died 1826 in Hart County, Kentucky, married Elizabeth DENNY. 2. Athe MEEKS, born between 1750-1756, died 1812 in Warrick County, Indiana, married Margaret SNEAD 3. Jesse MEEKS, born between 1752-1758, died ca 1802 in Shelby County, Kentucky, married Sarah ?. 4. Susannah MEEKS, born between 1755-1756, married Paul MEACHAM. 5. Candace MEEKS, born ca 1765, married William WILLIAMS. 6. Littleton MEEKS, born 8 February 1766, Died 22 September 1852 in Homer, Franklin County, Georgia, married Elizabeth IVEY. 7. Nacy MEEKS, born 1768, died between 1845-1849 in Tippah County, Mississippi, married Frances HOLT.
Littleton and Nacy were children by a second wife, name unknown and both were Primitive Baptist preachers. Littleton settling in the Franklin County, GA area and Nacy (my line) moving to Madison County, AL where he was pastor at Enon Church from 1825-1829. This church is known today as the First Baptist Church of Huntsville, Alabama. Nacy and his family moved further west into Tippah County, MS where many of his descendants still live today.
