My Meek ancestors came from Elgin County, Ontario. My ancestor James Meek and his family immigrated from Balleymena, County Antrim, Ireland to Ontario about 1817. His parents were Thomas Meek and Jean Redmond. I am also researching many other lines: the Barber & Kennedy families of Northumberland County, PA & Sussex (now Warren) County, NJ, the Fenn & Smith Families of early Connecticut, the Ahlefeld(t) & Gleichmann Families of Oklahoma, the Wardlow and Milligans of NE Texas and Tennessee, the Barnwell / Barnhills and Hares of Camp County Texas and North Carolina, and the Moody's of Union County, Ark.
