To Peer Over The Horizon Of Family Tree Pedigree and History

I started doing my research on my FamilyTree some three years ago.
Not for just about knowing where my roots lie,but particularly where the surname Meerman van der Horst originated from.
I have not found any documentaion which has satisfied my curiousity;so I will continue my search.

I too am doing two(2) other FamilyTrees;George Watson Munro; born 17-02-1899 died 05-12-1952.Married to-Ellen Viggor-Downey; born 10-06-1900 died 1965.They resided in Welback;Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. He worked at the ship buildingyards at Welback.

Thomas Barford;1797-1863 Married Sussan Grizzle 1799-1869
Both lived in Dunstable;Bedfordshire,UK.

If you should have come across any information on the above I would be gratefull.
