| I am researching the JOEL MARTIN WRIGHT family of KENTUCKY.JOEL MARTIN WRIGHT and his wife SUSANAH are my GGGgrandparents. My father, AMOS WRIGHT born April 08, 1920 in FLOYD or GREENUP COUNTY, KENTUCKY. He had one known BROTHER, ADAM WRIGHT and one known SISTER, LORRAINE (REENIE)WRIGHT. AMOS WRIGHT is the son of, JOSEPH (JOE) WRIGHT and MELVINA (Ousley) MEADE. AMOS WRIGHT is grandson of JOEL WRIGHT and LOUANNA (HALL) PITTS, great grandson of JAMES WRIGHT and POLLY (HENSON) INGAL, great-great grandson of JOEL MARTIN WRIGHT and SUSANAH _?_. JOEL MARTIN WRIGHT and SUSANAH _?__ were first discovered on an 1804 RUSSELL COUNTY, VIRGINIA TAX LIST. Joel Martin Wright was born about 1775 in VIRGINIA or NORTH CAROLINA. Joel died 1834 in McROBERTS, PERRY COUNTY, KENTUCKY at 49 years of age. He is probably buried in McRoberts, PERRY COUNTY, KENTUCKY. (LETCHER COUNTY, KENTUCKY) SUSANAH _?_ was BORN about 1775 in VIRGINIA and DIED April 1860 in LETCHER COUNTY, KENTUCKY at age 74 years. She is probably buried in McROBERTS, LETCHER COUNTY, KENTUCKY. I would love to find SUSANAH's MAIDEN NAME so I could research her family also. Any help or clues would be much appreciated. Joel Martin Wright and Susanah _?_ were married in Russell County, Virginia?, probably around 1807. I would like to know from what state JOEL WRIGHT and his parental family ORIGINATED. Willing to share information with anyone in this family line.
