| I am just beginning to research the history of the Main/Mehler family. On the Main side, the family names I am researching are Main and Shafer. I know little information about the Main family history. A book has been published on the Shafer side and I will use information from the book to assist me in my research. On the Mehler side I will be researching, the names Mehler and Meyer, both of German origin. The Mains I am interested in now reside in CT, the Mehlers in PA.
