Ann Coogan came to western Pennsylvania at 16 or 17 With a wealthy family as a governess and companion to the wife. The Husband was at Petroleum center in oil. Lost money finally and went back to New York. Anne Refused to go. She went to work for Mrs. Phillips (Deserted mother pf Minnie P. and Verley parkhurst) in charge of the dinning room at her boarding House. Met Josh Lewis.
