The document was signed by Benjamin Granville and witnessed by William and Elizabeth Medford. Schedule of property remaining of the estate of the late Charles Benton, dec'd at the return of the family to their home after the invasion of Texas by the Mexican army " a horse in the army for which a note of thirty five dollars carried" !/4 league of land on Mill Creek.
