Marilyn Meisenheimer's Family Home Page

Updated September 24, 2011

From my home in Southern Illinois, I am searching and researching for the following family names: Gates (Goetz), Probasco, Cowan, Spangler, Wing, Wickham, Snider, Tune, Darter, Lawrence, Doty, Dickerson, Cooper, Bogart, Frazier, Knott. My family moved from Virginia and North Carolina through Tennessee and Kentucky until they came to Southern Illinois (Johnson, Pope, and Saline Counties). My husband's family names include: Meisenheimer, Dillow, Sellars, Sharp, Spence, Cunningham, Lentz (Lence), Hartline, Lingle, Donoho, Lindsey, Treece, Hill, and probably anyone named Meisenheimer, Misenheimer, or Misenhimer! The Meisenheimer's moved from North Carolina and settled here in Union County, Illinois around 1819 with many other German families from North Carolina.

If you are researching any of these names, feel free to contact me. Also, I have written family histories for many of the family members who lived in Johnson County, Illinois.
