Page 31 Name: John Arnold Location: Hartford Will dated 14 November, 1741: I, John Arnold of Hartford, do make this my last will and testament: I give unto my daughter Hannah, the wife of Ebenezer Hills, Jr., the sum of œ10 over and above what I have given her already, to be as money, and to be her own forever and at her own dispose. I give to my daughter Mary, the wife of John Vibbard, the sum of œ10 as money over and above what I have before given her, and at her own dispose. I give to my daughter Sarah, the wife of Thomas Wadsworth, the sum of œ10 as money over and above what I have given her already, to be her own forever and at her own dispose. I give unto Hannah, my well-beloved wife, the use of about 2 acres of land commonly called Kenney Point, and the use of 1-3 part of the dwelling house wherein I now live, and the use of 1-3 part of all my improvable lands, and the free liberty of giting firewood and timber on any part of my land what she stands in need of for her own use during widowhood. And further, I freely give to my wife 1-3 part of all my moveable estate, to be her own forever and at her own dispose. I give unto my son John Arnold the new house built by brother Henry Arnold deceased, and the 1-2 of my barn, to be his own forever and at his dispose. I give unto my son Henry Arnold the house wherein I now live and the 1-2 of my barn, to be his own forever. I give all the remaining part of my estate, real and personal, unto my two sons, John Arnold and Henry Arnold, to be equally divided between them, to be their own forever.
