The family names I am researching are currently just on my father's side of the family and include Anderson, Blankenship, Casto, DeWees(e), Gibson, Johnson, Parsons, Walker ... most of these families settled in or around Jackson County, West Virginia and most of my research has been concentrated there. I also have done some very preliminary research on three MAYFLOWER lines connected to my ANDERSON line, those being Bradford, Doty and White. The WALKER Family is a huge brickwall - I do believe they came from Mars - although family rumor is the Walkers were Welsh or possibly Scottish.I have been unable to locate any records indicating when and where they arriaved in the United States although I believe it to have been in the period of 1830-50, just before the Civil War started with 2 grown or almost grown sons as I have information from an early online communication that father and 2 sons fought against each other. Any research included on this page should ONLY be used a starting point for your own. If no source information is included, that generally means it is (a) not my own research or (b) I failed to document my source. Unfortunately, a lot of my own research IS undocumented because when I started I didn't know I should document each and every piece of information I found ... I consider it a lesson learned <grin> and am working now on documenting each name in my large database with at least a secondary source as well as making sure that any NEW information I add is documented ... any mistakes you might find or any information you might be able to add would be greatly appreciated being brought to my attention. Happy Hunting ... Kay
