| My Name is Leigh Melling I am Married to Mark Allen. And I have a Daughter Molly, we Live in Flintshire, But I was Born Wrexham, and my roots are in Wales. So here it is my "family tree"- It all stared with finding my Great grandad Henry Ernest Melling's" death certificate and from there I have never looked back-( well I have obviously but you know what i mean!!!) So what started out as an interest has become a "passion"- everyday i seem to find another small piece of the family puzzle- and i love it! There are so many people who have contributed to my "tree" that is impossible to acknowledge them all- you know who you all are and thank you. There are a few people who i would really like to thank one of which is my new friend James "Len" Stanley, he has helped and inspired me so many times when I've hit a "brick wall" I've lost count!- not only have a found a "fourth cousin twice removed", I've also found a very dear friend, also thanks for enabling me to put my "family" on the web.. Thanks to my grandad Albert Hughes who at the grand age of 91 has (not always willingly) accompanied me on my graveyard searches to find the long lost graves- Cheers Grandad. My great aunty Annie for all her stories and treasured photographs of the Hughes family. And Brenda Peters who has put me back on track with the "Rogers" clan more than once! Jane Williams for her Lewis and Lamb contributions- not an easy task- but we are getting there!! My newly found Hurley relatives - Jane and Edna - thank you for the photos and stories! and of course I can't forget Eric and Joe for introducing me to my extended Melling family that I never knew I had!!. And finally my mum for never (well I didn't see her anyway) rolling her eyes when I've had a new find!. My tree is for people to enjoy and to think about those that have long since passed and to remember them as they have made me who I am today!- I hope they are not disappointed! |
