The Menniss Family Ancestry Site

My line of the Menniss family originally came from Scotland or Ireland, and the earliest ancestor traced so far is Alexander Menniss, who may have been a soldier or sailor in the American War of Independence. After marrying in Barking, London, he and his descendents settled in Carshalton Surrey for most of the nineteenth century. Various family members then moved to London and elswhere in the south of England.
