| I am researching the Hauntz family from Minnesota, Ohio, North Dakota and Idaho. According to census information the family may have originated in Germany. Leonard Herman Hauntz first appears in the 1895 census for Minnesota with his wife Bertha, son Edwin, and brother-in-law Albert. I can find no earlier records for him yet. Leonard and Bertha Schmock were married in 1893. They had 10 children. Edwin, Pearl, Charles (died in the 1918 flu epidemic), Ruth, Mable, Leonard Walter, Florence, Lester, Eunice and Lucille. Some of the other names that I am researching are: Sheets, Hendrix, Geesey, Schmock, Pulver, Weaver, Flynn (Flinn), Edmunds, Jonson. I have not gotten very far on some of these families. Any help would be appreciated. I am willing to share any of the information that I have. Thanks to Eric Netteberg and Pam Smith for their much appreciated help to a new genealogist. |
