LAST WILL & TESTAMENT of William Fletcher:
In the name of God amen, I William Fletcher, being very sick and weak of body but of perfect sense and memory calling to mind that it is once appointed for all men to die, thought fit to make and ordain this to be my last will and testament in manner and forme as followeth. First of all I give and bequeath my soul to God who gave it hoping in and though the merits of Jesus Christ to be Saved and my body I give to the Earth to be buried after a Christain Manner at the discretion of my Wife.
Item I give unto my Loving wife Sarah Fletcher my Plantation whereon I now live on during her natural life then revert to my son Matthew Fletcher.
Item I give to the Child my wife goes with one feather bed one sheet and blanket and quilt and if my wife is not with child then to her.
Item I give unto my wife Sarah Fletcher all my money Silver and Gold also all my Nales old and new.
Item I give unto my son Matthew Fletcher all my Tanners Tooles and Shooe Makers Tooles also one bed and bolster and a quilt and one sheet and blanket also one large chest also my gun also my red horse called Jockey. I give to my son Matthew three cattle also three sheep I give to my son Matthew Fletcher my Plantation I now liv on scituate lying and being the head of Andua Creek to him his heirs and assigns forever.
Item I give unto John Evans a druged caot and worsted vest and britches shooes and stockings.
Item I give unto my wife Sarah Fletcher a grey mare and black horse also my plow and harrow and all my hoes.
Item I give unto my son Matthew two iron potts one large and one small also one ovel table and a couch one pair of mill stones one large grindstone.
Item I give unto my wife Sarah Fletcher two spinning wheels one linnen and one woollen also four sheep and all the thread that is spun and flax and five chears. I give unto my son Matthew Fletcher five chairs I give unto my wife and child or children all the rest of my estate not before mentioned to be equally devided. Lastly I do appoint my beloved wife to be my hole executrix of this my last will and testament as Witness my hand this 19th day of May 1729.

Notes for Henry Davis:
Three brothers, supposedly comes from Milford, South Wales on the ship "James & Mary" in 1701 with 20 others of Welsh Baptist Faith.
Henry Davis settled about three miles south of Polkton, NC., and reared a large family there. Henry was supposed to be the father of Christopher Davis [will dated 1788] and John Davis who married Miss Barker first, then Nancy Marshall-Nance second.
