Mrs. Addie Mae Carver Lott, 74, of Bethel Church Road, Douglas, Ga., passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002 at Shady Acres Convalescent Center in Douglas, Ga., following an extended illness.
Mrs. Lott, a native of Coffee County, Ga., was born Oct. 11, 1927, the daughter of the late Ben Sr., & Nola Johnson Carver. She was a homemaker, a retired seamstress and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include, her husband, Winfred Lott of Douglas, Ga; one daughter, Linda Lott Merritt Lloyd & husband Mike of Douglas, Ga.; two sons, Jimmy Lott and wife Sharon, and Jerry Lott and wife Kay, all of Douglas, Ga.; one daughter-in-law, Bernice Whitley Lott of Nicholls, Ga.; one brother, Jed Carver of Douglas, Ga.; two sisters, Lois Carver Edmondson of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mildred Ruth of Waycross Ga.; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lott was preceded in death by one son, Freddie Lott.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2002 at the Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Elisha Purvis Jr., officiating. Special music was provided by Hearts Desire who sang "Hero's of Faith" and by soloist Glenda Courson who sang "Leave Me A Message", with Peggy Hall accompanying at the piano. Interment followed at the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery,
Active pallbearers were Terry McLendon, Larry McLoon, Wendell Threatt, Billy Joe Hall, Rodney Courson, and Fred Hurst.
Honorary pallbearers were Maudine & Joe Wright, Roe Dean & Lois Courson, Vernon Courson, Bethel Church Adult Sunday School Class, Pee Wee Flanders, Dr. Sarma & Gambro Healthcare Staff, and Home Health Care Staff.
Sims Funeral Home of Douglas, Ga., was in charge of arrangements.
