| I am researching the Mercer Family. I only know as far back as my grandfather James Mercer. I do know he is from Mississippi, however I'm not sure where at. Other surnames of interest to me are: Gilliam, which I believe settled Virginia, Missouri, and then parts of North Texas and Caddell, which comes originally from the Edinburgh, Scotland area, and is part of Clan Campbell of Cawdor. Also Jordan, which I know hardly anything about other than they have lived in the Houston, TX area for many years. Any information I recieve is greatly appreciated, and I am more than happy to share what I have, though it is not much as of yet. |
