While stationed in Virginia Daddy met, and dated for about 2 years and then married Ila Mae Copeland on 14 Sept 1942 in Emporia, Virginia. At the time of their marriage Daddy was 24 and Ila Mae was 19 years old. They divorced on 05 August 1946. Ila Mae worked in the office of the Contact Representative as a secretary at the Lake City Fla VA Hospital in July of 1946. Even though he never spoke much of her I know that he still had warm feelings toward her. If anyone knows her or her where abouts, please let her know that she can reach me here. Her last known address was 1033 Columbo St., Jacksonville. Fla., stated on Daddy's medical records.
