My family's background is 100% Norwegian and most of the information so far has been taken from family members' memories. After coming to the U.S., my ancestors settled in Southern Wisconsin and Southeastern Minnesota. Families I am trying to find are - descendants of Ole Danielson, Madison and Beloit, WI areas (Kahl, Johnson, Duxstad)from the Sauherad, Telemark area; descendants of Jens Anfinson Fardahl (Quam, Overby)and Barsnessfrom Sogn; Merseth, Buran, Trelstad, Shelstad, Helland from Voss, Stigen, Hjermstad, all settling originally in the Southeastern MN area.
