Richard A. Merrifield of Bremerton, WA.

I am researching the Merrifield family from Truro, Cornwall, UK. Samuel Merrifield first appears in the 1881 England census, but I don’t know where he was before that. He married Elizabeth Vollett in 1837 and they had two sons, William Henry and George John. My grandfather, Archibald Vollett Merrifield, is the son of George John Merrifield.

In addition, I’m researching the George Leet family of Maniste, Michigan. I have no birth information on him. He married Loretta Shipman who was born around 1860. They had three sons, Marshall, Raymond and Harold, plus four daughters, Edith, Winifred, Retha and Ella. Marshall Leet is my maternal grandfather.

Any information would be appreciated. I’m also willing to share the information that I have.
