* The Paolo Merlini Family Tree*

Updated February 8, 2010

This is the record of the Family Tree descended from Paolo Merlini and Lavinia Lucy Beecham.
Paolo Merlini emigrated from Milan circa 1850 and settled in East London. He was an artisan, a Master Cabinet, Barometer case & Clock case Maker. He establised a factory at 34, Red Lion Street; he also owned a house at 45, Red Lion Street.
The research for this tree has been performed by me, Stephen Merlin, my father Leslie Merlin, Alison McBrayne and others.

(Please note that this family is unrelated to another Merlini family who originated from Chiesa, nr Ancona, on the Adriatic coast of Italy, and whose descendents are today clustered in Glamorgan, South Wales.)

Taken about 1885. Looks like a working chair that he's sitting on - for carpentry ?
