1. CLEMENT⁷ MESSERVY (JEAN (JOHN)⁶, CLEMENT⁵, THOMAS⁴, THOMAS³, RICHARD², GREGOIRE¹) was born 13 May 1655 in Gorey, Grouville, Isle of Jersey, Eng, and died Bef 1720 in Newington, NH, USA. He married ELIZABETH UNKNOWN 1675 in Welch Cove, Kittery, NH.

Notes
Clement Messervy was an imigrant. According to his Portsmouth NH deeds in 1705 & 1710 he mentions his sons Clement and John but the document speaks of other sons and daughters. Tradition has always made three the family; in Maine, NH, and Massachusetts. There is no mention of Aaron, Edward, or Mary in the notes by Albion K. P. Meserve MD, Portland, ME dated July 1897. Aaron is believed to be the eldest son.
