Martins and Ledfords of Gastonia,NC

I started out looking for my great-grandmother "Eliza Taylor"who was a full blooded Cherokee Indian.She married my great-grandfather "William Martin".They got married around 1870 and lived some where around Haywood County in North Carolina.The first real information that I found was on the 1880 cencus of Icard Township in Burke County in North Carolina.They had four childern (Dovey,Elvy,Columbus and Solomon).Columbus Martin was my grandfather and he married my grandmother Sarah Lucinda Ledford of Polkville in Cleveland county in North Carolina.My grandmther's mother was Bertha Ruth Hoyle Ledford her husband was Robert Ledford.Her father was Peter Hoyl 3rd, his father was Eli Hoyl Sr., his father was Peter Hoyl 2nd"Politican Peter",his father was "Pioneer Peter"Heyl.He was the first Hoyl in my greatgandmothers family to come to America.He arrived on Sept.11,1738 on the ship "Robert and Alice".He came from Germany.
I welcome any information that anyone my have on these two families.I am willing to share the information that I have.
