      7. Martha Noyes Griffin, born October 14, 1839 in Newburyport, Essex, Massachusetts ¹; died March 18, 1909 in Seattle, Washington. She was the daughter of 14. William J. Griffin and 15. Lydia Coombs Bragdon.

Notes for Fredric Augustus Marsh:
Fredric Marsh's grandson, Ray Fox, believed that there may have been one other child in the Marsh family, a sister who was disowned by her other two sisters and never mentioned again, possibly because her choice of a marriage partner did not meet their approval. Since the Marshes lived in Seattle, Washington, by the time the daughters were of marriageable age, Ray speculated that his mystery aunt may have married a non-white man, possibly Chinese.
